Integrate: Living the Change
Because healing isn’t just what you understand—it’s what you embody
Why Integrate?
Awareness, empowerment, and alignment are powerful — but transformation truly takes root when we integrate what we’ve learned into our relationships. The Integrate phase is about bringing healing into our interactions, especially during hard moments.
This is where we learn how to repair after rupture, how to return to connection, and how to embody what we’ve practiced — not just as ideas, but as lived, relational experiences. Integration doesn’t mean you won’t get dysregulated. It means you have a way back to yourself, and back to your child.
Key Objectives of the Integrate Phase
Practice the Repair Process
Learn a simple but powerful five-step repair process to reconnect with your child after disconnection, rupture, or reactivity.
Move From Concept to Embodiment
Begin applying the insights and tools from earlier phases in real time — not perfectly, but intentionally.
Strengthen Co-Regulation
Deepen your ability to offer safety through presence, voice, and nervous system awareness — even when your child is struggling.
Revisit and Rework Inherited Scripts
Use your integrated understanding of legacy, shame, values, and regulation to shift how you respond in moments of stress or disconnection.
Practical Tools and Exercises
To support your journey through the Integrate phase, consider engaging with the following exercises:
Rupture + Repair Practices
Use a visual guide for navigating disconnection with your child — from regulating yourself to reconnecting gently and authentically.
Co-Regulation Practices
Engage in breathwork, body awareness, and attunement practices that help you stay present and offer nervous system support to your child.
Legacy Rewriting Rituals
Use journaling, visualization, or creative expression to release inherited beliefs and solidify your own parenting truths.
Family Connection Practices
Create shared rituals that reinforce security and repair — such as reconnecting at the end of the day, offering do-overs, or naming feelings as they arise.
Moving Forward
Integration is about small, repeated moments of choice. It’s where rupture is followed by repair, disconnection is followed by reconnection, and healing becomes something felt — not just known.
This phase asks:
What does reconnection look like in my family?
How can I turn my insights into lived, relational healing?
As you continue through the R.E.P.A.I.R.™ Framework, integration becomes the practice of healing in motion — where repair becomes more accessible, and connection becomes the rhythm of your parenting.
